The ENCORE Program at Bellshire includes children from Kindergarten through fourth grade coming from all the elementary schools in the Hunter's Lane Cluster. Students attend once a week for 3 hours and 15 minutes of special instruction by the ENCORE teacher.
Classes units are activity based and focused on higher level thinking skills. Thematically planned units cover math, science, social studies, and the arts. We also take occassional field trips and have visiting speakers and teaching artists that do special activites with the students.

ENRICHMENT TALENT POOL
The Enrichment Talent Pool Program pulls a small group of top academic students from each class at Bellshire from Kindergarten through fourth grade. These students are selected based on academic scores and teacher recommendations. Pre-K and Kindergarten are also assessed using the Klingore Observation Checklist. The Encore teacher focuses on activities using higher level thinking skills and subjects that would not ordinarily be covered in the regular classroom course of instruction. |
