Parents & Students

Red school house with a yardPARENTS ARE OUR MOST VALUABLE ASSET!

Parental involvement is imperative to the success of a child's education and our school. The doors of our school are always open to parents who wish to visit or volunteer their services.   If you are interested in assisting in the classroom, contact the classroom teacher. If you wish to volunteer in other ways contact Mrs. Kelly, janice.kelly@mnsp.org or 860-1452 ext. 1006.
Visitors must report to the office upon entering the building to sign in and receive a Visitor's Badge.

Teachers are available to conference with parents. Parents should arrange the conference before arriving at school to ensure the teacher is available to meet. This also allows teachers to provide uninterrupted instructional time for the children.

In this section, parents and students can find resources to the help with school assignments and answers to the most frequently asked questions on the school policy. Click here to download a printable version of the student handbook.

Excerpts from PTO Today
"Why should parents get involved?  Because involvement can make a dramatic difference for their children."

"Researchers have been studying the effects parent attitudes and actions have on their children's academic success for more than 30 years.  The results have been consistent...When parents are involved in their children's education at home, they do better in school.  And when parents are involved in school, children go farther in school and the schools they go to are better."
